Professor has sculpture installed at the American Museum of Ceramic Art

The American Museum of Ceramic Art (AMOCA) recently installed a sculpture at their entryway that was made by Assistant Professor of Art, David Kiddie.  The piece titled “Bacillus Pom-Pom” was acquired by AMOCA to become an official part of their Permanent Collection in January.  In the words of AMOCA’s Director David Armstrong, “the museum is privileged and proud to have such a fine example of contemporary ceramic sculpture grace the museum’s grounds”.   The sculpture is one in an ongoing series of Professor Kiddie’s works that are enlarged interpretations of microscopic biological cell clusters.  The American Museum of Ceramic Art is nationally recognized and the only museum west of the Mississippi dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of historical and contemporary studio ceramics.
